Air Force, 6 Years
5 years active duty - included 2 years at McCoy AFB, Orlando (no longer there), 2 years at Chicksands AFB near Sheffield, England, and 1 year at the National Security Agency, Ft. Meade, Maryland. My entire tour with the Air Force was in the field of Data Processing, now known as I.T., or Information Technician. I was honorably discharged in October of 1969 and went to work for the Metropolitan Police Department, Washington DC.

Seven of my years in the USMC, and 13 in the USCG. Flew the CH-53E, HH-3F, HH-65, TH-5. Awarded the Air Medal, USCG Commendation, several Achievement Medals and LOC's. Left to pursue a civilian career as an international helicopter pilot in Nigeria, Afghanistan, Iraq, aboard US Merchant Marine ships. Still at it and going strong.

I was first, assigned to the commander of SAC Strategic Air Command, then I went with the OSI for the remainder of my tour, I was in the medical field, We did surprise visits, and I had to report about the treatment we were going from one base camp to another, so yes I was a nurse , with a 7 th level security,, and still do some typing "Top Secret" for the Avon Park Bombing range because I kept my security updated!!
