Honored Military Alumni
Bill C. Hower
Class of 1970
Army, 4 Years
My brother Bill served overseas, stationed near the demilitarized zone in S. Korea, Few people are aware that every day bombs are dropped and guns fired at the US Military posts whose job it is to patrol the border and keep N. Korea from imposing its power onto the peaceful S. Korean people. Bill saw firsthand how brave our soldiers are, even though they often get no "glory", serving in faraway places that don't make the headlines. It's a reminder to us all to always remember that SERVING IS SERVING, no matter what branch, no matter what war, no matter how long or in what capacity. This is a dedication to Bill and all the other brave service-people who maybe don't hear it often enough. Your country and its citizens appreciate your service, thank you!

Roy died in May 1983 while stationed at Fort Gordon, GA. While I know nothing about his high school years, I can say that he was one hell of a soldier.
