About Me	A failed dream is one that's never attempted! - Jesse Smits Jesse Smits first picked up a guitar at the age of 6. By the time Jesse was 14, he was composing and performing his songs with his band. Jesse's band won first place in several "Battle of the Bands" competitions which featured his original compositions. At 15, Jesse played several of his popular original Rock n Roll songs to a crowded arena in Green Bay. After playing the contracted concerts, Jesse decided to go solo. This would give him time to better develop his composing and recording skills. When he was first introduced into the world of recording he wasn’t sure how to make a song sound complete and full with only a small variety of instruments and a low budget home recording studio. So he took his basic tracks to a professional and had them mastered. Now at the age of 19, his latest album "Missing You" is the result of those efforts. More: Jesse grew up in a small town near Green Bay, Wisconsin where he met and was inspired by several local musicians. He learned to play many different styles of music on the guitar from classical to Hard Rock n Roll. His first guitar was a birthday gift from his father, Patrick Smits. Although he didn’t know it at the time a patient role model would be the essential key in molding the style of music he would write.
