| About Me | I left and served the Army on active duty from 1979-1982 and was in the Wisconsin and Kansas National Guard as well as the Army reserve until 1991....I went to college at University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. I transferred to Kansas State University in Manhattan Kansas from 1986-1989. Then moved to Topeka where to get treatment from the VA. I drinking in 1991 and a couple of months later I met my wife. We were engaged and married in 1993 . Our main highlights of the 90's were the three trips we took to Pearl Harbor Hawai'i ......I commuted to Kansas State University in 2006-2007...I am most proud of my work at the campus radio station when I became the first to interview College Hall of Fame coach Bill Snyder at the 1989 campus open house...In 2007 I was one of the broadcasters for the K-State WNIT championship game against Marquette....The 120 mile round trips wore me down in 2007 though..I returned to school for the final time in September of 2013 and finally got to wear a cap and gown for the first time May 14, 2015 and graduated. I did something very special at graduation since mom and dad could not be there in person they were there I took a framed picture of them to the stage as I received my diploma. I could see them looking down at my proudest moment hugging and saying to me "Son we are proud of you." I proved that throughout all the turmoil I finished with a 4.0 average something I never had done before and nominated to the National Technical Honors Society. I was Vice President of the Washburn Tech Student Government. My last grandma passed away in 2009, my Mom in 2010 and for some reason the I lost my dad fall (October 2014). It was with greatest sadness, My beloved wife and best friend passed away on November 22, 2016...At the urging of a couple of friends of mine I have since move back to WI after the burial of my wife in October 2017 not bad for being the most hated in school....I am still here and now am married to a wonderful woman I met online and was in the WHS class of '81..Sherry Buchanan. I met her on a dating site.. We were neighbors but it is so funny I knew of her but no memories. I had to write her a 40 year thesis of my life since WHS before she would go out with me..
