| About Me | Here is what I've been doing for the last 40 plus years. I got married pretty young to a gal from Cal High, not long after my graduation. We moved to Oregon maybe a couple of years after that. We had 3 daughters during our marriage, then divorced after 13 years. During this time I was working for a helicopter company here in Portland, Oregon,(Columbia Helicopters) as a mechanic. After 5 years of being single, I met my current wife (Jodee) through a mutual friend of ours. She had 2 daughters and one son, we have now been married 30 years. As luck would have it, all of the kids get along great. About 15 years ago I was offered a job as a general manager of a helicopter repair facility on Maui (Air Repair Hawaii), so off to Maui we went but with no kids, they were married and out of the house by this time. That lasted about 2 years when our parent company (Papillion Hawaiian Helicopters) filed for bankruptcy and closed our doors and theirs as well. Back to Columbia Helicopters and Portland, Oregon where I took my old job back but in the marketing department this time, I had the opportunity to travel internationally to visit my customers. I sold our helicopter maintenance capabilities to foreign militaries, the US Marines and US Army. Jodee and I both retired this year, she from nursing and I from my marketing job. Today we live in a golf course community in Wilsonville, Oregon. We just got back from a trip to New Zealand to visit our friends that we knew from living on Maui. We both started a small business, she does legal nursing consulting, and I started this Nexus Helicopter Service, dealing with some of my old customers in regard to consulting for their maintenance work on their helicopters, mostly foreign militaries. We both work sporadically only when something might come our way. Five of our kids live in the Portland area and one lives in North Carolina. With all of these kids we have 13 grandkids with one more on the way, six of which are adopted and 2 are from Uganda.
