| About Me | Graduated from College, played some sports and met a cute cheerleader named Danielle who I have been married to for 42 years this past June. We were blessed with 4 great daughters and one son, all Penn State graduates with successful careers. We have six wonderful grandchildren. I taught Physical Science/Earth & Space Science and was Director of Planetarium & Observatory. I also coached football at Freshman, JV and Varsity Level. During the summer, I was co-owner of a small construction business for ten years. I then became a building and central office school administration for 13 years after teaching/coaching for 14 years. I served in various assistant superintendent positions, all at Northampton Area School District and was most fortunate to have great friends and mentors over the years. The KIDS were terrific !!!! I was recruited and subsequently left Northampton SD for Brandywine School District and finished my professional career serving seven years as superintendent of schools before retiring after a total of 34 years. The staff and kids were great here also. Upon retiring from schools but not ready to retire totally, I was offered a full=time position with D'Huy Engineering Inc, in Bethlehem, PA. My primary duties are business development and marketing. Since the firm specializes in many facets of school work, it seemed like a great match with my education and construction background and interests. They are an absolutely great company with a great reputation for quality of services. The people that I work with and for are some of the best I have ever met throughout my career. I'm now voluntarily winding down my time as Danielle and I focus more on "true" retirement. Danielle recently retired as a teacher also and Writing Fellow at Penn State, Lehigh Valley Campus. In 1991 we built a home in Lehigh Township in Northampton and this past May purchased a gated/golf community home on the Gulf side of Florida, 5 minutes from the beach, and about 15 minutes south of Sarasota. We plan on splitting our time between PA and FL depending on holidays and family commitments. We have a boat and enjoy the intra-coastal waterway and Gulf, along with the beach. Life has been great and it's time to start LIVING AGAIN! Those are the highlights since high school with lots of details and great experiences along the way. I'm sure you would agree, that the years since 1966 have gone by in a blink of an eye. I always felt Whitehall prepared me well because it was small enough to have a lot of experiences and opportunities. I hope all is well with my classmates and I look forward to seeing you again at the earliest possible opportunity... given our schedule? I'm sure it's the same for all of you too. Anyway, it's been fun thinking about high school again and all of you.
