| About Me | While a member of the MA bar, my career has focused on lobbying, not-for-profit/association management, and community development [With the exception of 1 agonizing year of private practice when I relocated to the Northeast]. It's a lot more fun writing/amending laws than using them as cudgels in court. I married Angela in 1988, moving her to Springfield, MA where I had moved the previous Spring. The distance from her parent's house to ours in MA is greater than the distance between all of her other family members [mother's and father's side] combined. One of her then-very young nephews asked if we spoke a different language "up there" based upon the family chatter. We have no children [based somewhat in part upon the fact that I killed cacti, purchased by office colleagues who were trying to cheer me up following a string of flora-cides at my workspace]. My last pet was a goldfish during my youth - RIP [I often take solace thinking my flowers have met up with Goldie in heaven]. Politics for me has occasionally been more than an avocation.l I have had a life-long interest in American history, transportation, and railroading. My FB picture is of Joshua Lawrence Chamberlain - Educator, General, Governor and volunteer. He was awarded the Medal of Honor for his action leading troops on Little Round Top at the Battle of Gettysburg.
