About Me	After H.S. I joined the USAF in Sioux Falls SD on 08/15/60 and went to basic training in San Antonio TX. From there I went to Lowry AFB in Denver CO for training on the weapons control system(radar) on the F-101B. After tech school I went to Glasgow AFB for 6 months OJT. While in the AF I went to one semester at NSU with the intent of going to OCS. I changed my mind about OCS and was discharged 08/14/64. I returned to Webster and enrolled at NSC. I was fortunate to get the GI Bill and while going to school I also drove cab, worked at the Holiday Inn and tended bar there and at the Legion Club and the Elks. I graduated in 1967 in 3 years because I went to summer school and also rec'd. 16 hours of credits for my military training. I married in 1965 and my son was born in 1966. After graduating from college with a bachelors in education I started on my masters degree and also taught school in Warner SD. I completed 30 hours on my masters but did not complete my thesis and therefore did not get my degree. After one year of teaching I went to work for the Social Security Administration(SSA) as a claims representative trainee. I went to Miami for training and then transferred to Daytona Beach FL. From there I went to Memphis TN and then transferred again to Fargo, ND on 01/01/70 where I was promoted to Operations Supervisor. I stayed in Fargo for 11 years and while I was there I had two temporary details to Williston ND and Fergus Falls MN as branch manager. I went to Salt Lake City UT in 1980 when I received a promotion to Operations Officer. I was subsequently promoted to Branch Manager in Murray UT and retired in 2000 as Assistant District Manager in Salt Lake City. I had the opportunity to work in New York City, Lincoln NE, Kalispell MT, Denver Regional Office and San Francisco Regional Office while on special assignments. I had an interesting and enjoyable career. I could not have found a better fit and thoroughly enjoyed my time with SSA. After retiring I worked part time for the Utah State Liquor Commission and Reynolds Tobacco. I moved to Sun City West AZ in 12/2005.
