Favorite School Memory	Once I got over the shock of moving to Missouri from Massachusetts the summer before my senior year, I quickly learned how to flourish in hot, humid weather with the help of fellow classmates. My favorite memory is graduating and going off to Mizzou.
About Me	Following graduation from Mizzou, I worked as an Historian with the Missouri State Park Board on the National Register of Historic Places. Left that, went crazy for a bit and then moved to Denver where I graduated with a masters in library science. Worked for several years as a children's librarian in Lebanon, MO and then moved to Independence MO where I settled down as the Genealogy Librarian for the Mid-Continent Public Library. Over a 23 year period, I managed the genealogy branch that grew from a one-man show (me) to a staff of 30 when I retired in 2001. My husband Orval and I moved to St. Louis to be near our daughter and her family. Never one to sit still, I now work part-time as a Reference Librarian at the ...(read more)
