| About Me | I left for the military In August 1968, I was eventually assigned to naval gunfire control and spent 1969 to 1970 as part of a forward observation company (!st ANGLICO) assigned to different elements of the 1st and 2nd Marine Divisions. This taught me that there were worse things than school and when I was discharged, I was awarded a war service scholarship.That helped me pursue my goal of becoming a physician. I was lucky enough to be able to come home and worked as a physician until 2012. It was great to be able to raise my children here surrounded by our extended family.
