About Me	At the end of June 2022, I concluded 44 years of full-time "church work" having served in seven different local, regional, and national positions/calls exposing me to a diversity of ages, ethnicities, socio-economic demographics, geographic locations, and levels of ministry. Each position was unique in many ways, stretching and growing my skills, faith, and education/ministry philosophy. Each blessed me greatly and also motivated me to continue learning, resulting in an M.S. Ed. In Family Studies and an Ed.D. in Leadership for the Advancement of Learning and Service. My career--and life, really--are perhaps best described via the personal mission statement, developed as a doctoral program assignment: “Raise the bar with competence, creativity, care, and Christ.” I tried, with God’s gracious help and blessing, to do that everywhere I served. In retirement I hope to do the same and am open to new opportunities to keep living this mission statement while also enjoying some new “adventures” along with my dear wife, Carol, my three child...(read more)
