| About Me | Graduated from Wayne State in 1978 having earned a degree in Education with certification in Elementary Ed, Special Ed. K-12, Social Sciences K-12. Moved Houston TX and spent 18 years teaching elementary aged students with disabilities in Houston ISD. Earned my masters in educational administration at University of Houston Clear Lake in 1990. Accepted a position as a special education supervisor. Eventually earned a position as Manager of a team of personnel responsible for district- wide services for students with low-incidence disabilities, early childhood services and Autism related services. I retired in 2011. I played handbells for a church handbell choir for about 30 years. I’m contemplating trying out for a sweet adeline choir. My husband, a native Texan, and I enjoyed taking road trips to explore the vast state of Texas. Sadly, he passed away after a brief illness in 2017.
