| Favorite School Memory | My memories from Wa-Hi are all faded but sweet, like a beautiful dream that won't let me remember all of the details. But if I had to pick just one thing it would be my memories of being a Devilette; whether it was performing on the football field or inside the gym or just practicing with the girls after school, those are some of the best moments that I had during those years. | About Me | I took a few classes at WWCC, worked in retail, the cannery, and I was a bartender and cocktail waitress at the Elks club in Walla Walla for a few years. But the summer I turned 25 I moved to Las Vegas, Nevada and although for years I went home every summer to visit my family, I never really looked back. I waitressed at a downtown coffee shop inside a major Hotel/Casino for more than fifteen years. Las Vegas turned out to be a great choice for me. I have had many adventures over the years; meeting celebrities, seeing fabulous shows, dancing at the hot clubs in my younger days and vacations with my best friend of more than twenty years, Jackie, that have taken us to fun and exotic locations. More than 5 years ago I finally hung up the apron and joined the world of business. I went to Real Estate school and became a Realtor. Riding the real estate wave has sometimes been exhilarating, exciting, frustrating but most of all exhausting. My creative outlet is writing; mostly fiction based on my own experiences. I have not been as lucky in love as I had wished as a little girl. Mostly very short relationships and “friends with benefits†as the kids say. I think I’ve always been a little too independent for most men and my father was too much for the others to live up to. I guess I’ve just watched a few too many romantic comedies for my own good! And now, to make me seem even more like an old maid, two and a half years ago my cat, Odie, came to live with me from the shelter that had been her home for over 3 years.
