About Me	https://www.linkedin.com/in/david-higgens-247b0594/ I grew up in Kenosha and attended UW-Parkside earning a bachelor's degree in Political Science in 1984. I worked in the private sector from 1984 to 1999 and worked as a substitute teach in southeastern Wisconsin from 1999 to 2001. While substituting, I returned to UW-Parkside earned my teaching certification 2001. Since 2001, I have been a sixth grade teacher for the Racine Unified School District. I earned my Master's Degree in 2004 in Curriculum and Instruction and in 2012, Middle School Endorsement from Olivet Nazarene University. My favorite subject is Social Studies.
