| About Me | Last 56 years! I have a passion for reading history of all kinds, especially politics, military events and aviation. I'm a staunch democrat and a political news hound. I love to travel and have been to over 40 countries, some of my favorites, the United Kingdom (14 times), Ireland, Northern Ireland, England, Whales, Scotland, almost all of Europe, Netherlands, Sweden, Germany, Belgium, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Austria, Liechtenstein, Poland, Italy, Vatican City, San Marino, France, Spain, Monaco, Andorra, Portugal, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Denmark, China, Japan, the Dominican Republic, Canada and Mexico, etc., won’t name them all. I have also been to 49 out of 50 states, (with emphasis on historical military sites, architecture, and especially churches and synagogues). I’m thinking about traveling to Greece this year if at all possible. I love astronomy and work with a “Schmidt-Cassegrain” 8 inch telescope. I build 1:48 scale airplane and armor models for competition and attend the International Plastic Modelers Society convention most years. I like bike riding although it seems like I'm not doing much of it since the second daughter came along. I have a 2-year degree in photography from Everett Community College and a 4-year in graphic design from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. I’ve been to 9 different universities and colleges (couldn’t make up my mind). I was in the Navy for 4 years stationed at Great Lakes for boot camp, Memphis, Tennessee for Training, Barbers Point, Hawaii for 2 years working in crash and rescue, and Whidbey Island NAS in Washington State working on the flight line as a plane captain. I've worked such jobs as fireman in the Navy, semi tractor-trailer driver, and graphic artist to name a few. I have been working for Ingersoll-Rand for the last 25 years in Seattle as a graphic artist and now as the Program Manager Marketing Communications mainly managing trade shows for the division traveling at least 100,000 miles per year. I’ve raced Rhodes 19' sail boats in Hawaii, Hobbie Cats in Washington, Oregon and Canada. I lived for a few years on the North side of Chicago with a former classmate (not to be mentioned). Moved to Seattle in 1982 and converted to Judaism in 1983. I am currently married to my second wife Michelle for 23 years who is originally from Vancouver, Canada, whom I met on a sailing trip off the coast of Canada. We have two girls Dorienn and Marisha. I love all kinds of music especially 40's era but really don't care for rap (to my daughters chagrin). I also have a passion for movies. I was working on my pilot's license for sail planes (gliders) but had to put it on hold when Marisha my youngest came along (money makes the world go round). I took up sky diving for a bit but never pursued it. I've sailed from Alaska to Seattle in a 36' boat with two friends and flown several times with stunt pilots going through their routines.
