About Me	I am a true Colorado boy. I'm most at peace when I'm in the mountains, and when I'm stuck in the flatlands and foothills I'm drawn to the high country. Some of the best nights of sleep I've ever experienced have been in my sleeping bag while the rain pelted the tentm I'm an adament outdoorsmand, I enjoy hunting and fishing. But lately what's been getting my bloodflowing is the anticipation of the upcoming hiking season. I did my first couple 14ers in 2010 and can't help but marvel at the majesty that is CO where the air is rare. Aside from being an outdoorsman, I coach swimming and manage the lifeguard staff for Lakeshore Athletic Club in Broomfield. I love coaching, and take the same approach to running my lifeguard staff as I do to teach my swimmers. I enjoy seeing them grow and develop into young adultsn and find immense reward in being in a position to help shape and influence a positive outcome from that process. The hard part about coaching is how consuming it is sometimes, most of the time I can't seperate who I am from that role. I tend to call my swimmers "My Kids" and that's how I think of them most of the time, as my kids- all 30+ on the team, not to mention those I have in lessons and on my Guard staff. With the rest of my free time (that I don't have), I'm constantly reading. Usually 4-5 books at once. The books listed on my profile are what I have read since Jan 1, 2011.
