| About Me | I have been married to my high school sweetheart for 52 years, his name is Dave Stanbrough. We have 3 children, 5 grandchildren and 1 great grandson born in August of 2019. I was born and raised in Cedar Rapids. I remember when I was 5 years old, swinging on our swing set in our backyard. We lived in Hillcrest, right down the street from Jefferson. The school was being built at that time. I was so excited to be going to go to this school. When I was in first grade, my family moved to Cedar Hills. I was happy about that but at that time my next door neighbor was Jeff Gard and I knew I would miss him. He was my childhood boyfriend, I am sure he did not think of me as his childhood girlfriend. I would say that Laurie Fulton was my best friend growing up. In first grade she appeared at my back door and we were friends from that time on. Then my father found a different job in Des Moines. I was dragged to Des Moines kicking and screaming, at the end of 9th grade. Cedar Rapids and Jefferson have always been embedded deeply in my heart. I stumbled across this alumni site by accident.
