What is Jason Itzler (born 1967 as Jason Sylk) known for?

Jason Lubell Itzler, born Jason Lubell Sylk, is an American businessman, attorney, and founder of New York Confidential LLC, an escort company. Born on February 23, 1967, he was raised in New Jersey following his parents' divorce and his mother's remarriage to Ron Itzler, a known lawyer. His grandfather was influential in his upbringing, being a founding partner in the Riviera casino in Las Vegas and owning an amusement park in Coney Island.

Jason Itzler was educated at several private schools, including the Elisabeth Morrow School, the Dwight-Englewood School, the Hotchkiss School, and Tenafly High School, in Tenafly, New Jersey. He attended George Washington University and earned degrees in Political Science and Art History. Later, he enrolled at the Shepard Broad College of Law, graduating with a Juris Doctor degree in 1993.

While studying law, Itzler started a successful phone sex operation called M2 Communications, Inc., which reportedly averaged $1.5 million a month. Unfortunately, due to his mother's untimely death, Itzler abandoned this venture and declared bankruptcy in 1997. He later ventured into webcam porn with his next company, SoHo Models.

In 2001, Itzler was arrested for trying to smuggle ecstasy into the US and served seven months in jail. Upon his release in 2003, he started New York Confidential, his infamous escort service. The company did exceptionally well, with Itzler even considering branching out into other cities.

However, authorities arrested Itzler in 2005. He pleaded guilty to charges of money laundering and promoting prostitution in 2006. Despite his many brushes with the law, Itzler's entrepreneurial spirit and story are compelling in their uniqueness and audacity.
