About Me	Attended NCC and LCC, Eugene. 1974-1978. Received ADN May 1978, shared apartment with Ginger Dowling and worked at Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Eugene for about 9mo. Saved enough to visit sister Marie and husband in Australia, stayed 6 months. Returned and moved to Salem, to find hospital RN position lived with sister Mary, worked at Salem Memorial Hospital on Medical floor for over two years. Met and married David in 1980. Traveled together to Australia for 3 months in 1982 to visit Marie and family, her twins were 2 1/2 yrs. When returned moved to Eugene where Dave attended NCC and UofO. I worked at Sacred Heart Hosp. and was trained to be an ICU nurse. Our son Joshua was born there in 1986. Dave graduated in 1987. We moved to Boise ID to volunteer at Boise Children's Home and I worked at St. Alphonsus Hosp. in ICU. In Sept 1988 we accepted a position at Cookson Hills Christian Ministries as Houseparents and campus Nurse. Our daughter Abigail was born July of 1989. We have continued to serve at Cookson 21 years, Since 1995 at the main unit in Kansas, OK. We have been blessed to have over 30 children placed in our care over the years. Many are still a special part of our family, as well as their spouses and children, our supernatural kids, those God placed in our family. Joshua only 2 when we came and Abby who was the 8th child when she came home from the hospital have gown to love the Lord and desire to serve Him. Josh is married and working in Graphic Design, Abby is a Sophmore in College. My mother and sister Joy and husband live near us. Marie and family are still in Australia....(read more)
