About Me	God has given us a wonderful life together...and a wonderful family. We are SO blessed. Born to Rex & Wanda Wheeler Hall in Brushville, Penna. Born by faith in Jesus Christ into the family of God. Called to missionary service in Africa and gained a theological foundation at the Practical Bible Training School (now Davis College) and Baptist Bible Seminary both in Johnson City, N.Y. I met my wife, Betty, in the summer of 1951 and we were married in September of 1952. We sailed for Nigeria on a Norwegian freighter in November of 1953. Twin sons were born to us at Government Hospital, Kaduna, in June 1954. Upon a British doctor's recommendation regarding Betty's health we had to return to the USA in December 1954. Betty, during our time back in the USA, attended the Practical Bible Training School and I worked in a factory and pastored a small country church. We joined the Sudan Interior Mission and returned to Nigeria in November of 1957 and attended the Hausa Language School in Kano. We later were stationed in Accra, Ghana, where the elder of the twins, Dan, died just three months past his fourth birthday. He is buried in Osu Cemetery in Accra. Later we served in Jos, Nigeria, living right next to the mission hospital and God knew we would need its services! Then, returning to the USA in 1961, I attended and graduated from Cedarville University (see below). Later we served two terms at a Bible college and theological seminary near Ilorin, Nigeria. We remained in the USA from 1970 until returning to Nigeria in 1991. I taught in public school, then went to Syracuse University (hoping to get back to Nigeria and write curriculum), worked as a writer and editor in Denver, while Betty worked as bookkeeper and office manager at a Christian day school where, later, I worked as administrator and where daughters, Nancy and Natalie attended and graduated high school. Our son, Dean, went to and graduated from Colorado Aero Tech and Baptist Bible College of Denver. From Denver we moved to South Carolina where I worked at a college and later moved to Binghamton, N.Y. where I was associated with Davis College. Betty worked there, too, in the Student Financial Aid Office of the college. Upon returning to Nigeria in 1991 Betty worked in the field office treasurer's office and I headed up the graduate school at the Evangelical Church of West Africa's seminary in Jos. After our "formal" retirement we served a short term in Hosanna, Ethiopia. We've had the privilege of living in several states and nations and traveling to the British Isles several times, Ireland once, Bolivia, South America, South Africa, Ethiopia, Sudan, Central African Republic, Ghana, Togo, Benin, Niger, Burkina Faso, Switzerland, and China.
