| About Me | Leonard G. Goss worked inside book publishing for over thirty years, most recently as editorial director/senior acquisitions editor at B&H Publishing Group. Before that, he led editorial efforts at Crossway Books, Zondervan Publishing House/HarperCollins Publishers, and the Evangelical Book Club. He began his publishing career with John Wiley & Sons. He is now a partner, with his wife Carolyn, in an editorial services company called GoodEditors.com. Len is the author of A Brief Style Guide to Good Writing for Authors and Editors, and he is the coauthor, with Don Aycock, of Writing Religiously and The Christian Writer's Book, and together they edited Inside Religious Publishing. Their most recent book is The Little Handbook to Perfecting the Art of Christian Writing: Getting Your Foot in the Publisher’s Door. He is coauthor, with his wife Carolyn, of The Little Style Guide to Great Christian Writing and Publishing. Len’s writing is also widely published as chapter contributions in other books. He is honored with biographical reference listings in Who's Who in the Midwest, Who’s Who in the Media and Communications, Who's Who in Finance and Industry, Who's Who in Advertising, Who's Who in Religion, Notable American Men, and the Dictionary of International Biography. He enjoys exercise walking, channel surfing, international travel, reading literary biographies and early-to-mid-twentieth century American and British poetry, studying new and alternative religions, occasionally playing golf (never successfully), playing guitar (even less successfully, considering he used to live in Music City), staring up at the sky, listening to all kinds of music, and watching college football. He has been an adjunct professor of world religions at the college level. He is a poet for whom the actual writing of a poem is a mythological event. Len is a native of San Diego and earned degrees from Phoenix College, Arizona State University, Canterbury College/University of Windsor (M.A.), and Trinity Evangelical Divinity...(read more) |
