About Me	Lived a lot, explored a lot, learned a lot, written a lot, seen a lot, been loved by a patient woman, have loved the same woman, have won some major awards from the Univeristy of Missouri, headed (twice) an internaitonal professional organization, done archaeological work in the Four Corners area, floated the Colorado River, written five books, am writing three more, have loved numerous dogs and cats, have conducted free press seminars in Poland & Romania for the State Department and the National Association of Broadcasters. As of 2016, elected President of the State Historical Society of Missouri (through 2019), heavily involved in construction of $35 million Center for Missouri History and development of $20 million endowment to support it.
