| About Me | I am me. What you see is who I am. I work too much and have much to little time for anything else, but I enjoy what leisure time I have. I have 5 amazing children and my very favorite son in law my favorite daughter in law. My family is the most important thing in the world to me, although they may not always think that. That family also includes my beautiful grandchildren. WARNING!!!!! ( Don't ask me about my grandchildren or you are likely to be bombarded with every picture I've got from the last 11 years )...lol In 2013 I lost my life long best friend, confidant, comforter and teacher, my mom. What a shock it was when I realized that for the first time ever in my life, I am without my mom. She was always there and neither of us ever left the other except for when I went on a couple of vacations. She was the first I returned to when I came back, my waking thought every morning and my final thought at night. I do miss her but I know that she is in a better place than I am and one day we will be together again. One of my favorite places to be is in church. I love to sing for liturgies and as strange as it sounds, I love to sing for funerals. I find that through my music ministry I can bring comfort to those left behind. That is very fulfilling to me to be able to offer this part of myself. I am a Karaoke Host. My favorite job in the whole world!! I work in a wonderful place where the staff has been very kind over the past 14+ years and I've grown to think of this as my home away from home, despite the fact that I spend most of my time at my full time job, in a health care facility, during the week. I've worked in some type of health care setting since I was in high school. Recently I accepted a position in Social Services. I assist our Social Services director with all facets of the job and this move was very good for me. I am loving my job again. Most recently I accepted a position as the Quality Of Life Director for our new Transition Unit. ( see discription above) My day is rarely consistent and multitasking is constant and stress can be high but I try to make the best of it and remain calm and helpful to each person to the best of my ability. I have a daily personal goal and that is to MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN THE DAY OF AT LEAST ONE PERSON. It's purely a selfish goal as it justifies my reasons for calling it a good day at work. Life is good. We have been richly blessed and each new day is a gift and I try to always remember to say thank you to the ONE w...(read more) |
