About Me	My best friends call me "Mom." I'm the mother of three gorgeous girls: Dallie Marie, Paisley Cheyenne, and Charleigh Nikole. I have the sweetest, most supportive husband in the world, Adam- or Daddy Alum as he is also known. I graduated from ECU in December of 2012 with a degree in education, but shortly there after, figured out that the impact I want to make on the world cannot be done in a classroom full of 50 young people at once. I, instead, figured out I wanted to have a deeper connection and impact. At that time I decided to pursue a masters degree in Counseling, and began working as a Behavioral Rehabilitation Specialist... That's right- I get paid to play games with kids, listen to them, make them smile, spoil them with snacks, and eat candy with them-- or at least that's what they think. ;) In reality, I'm just there to be one more person that helps them to realize that life is tough, but they aren't alone in it; to let them know that their obstacles are temporary and in time they'll conquer them; to help them find a way to cope with whatever hands in life they've been dealt; or just to be at least one adult in their life telling them that their feelings and efforts are acknowledged, and that they can do anything they set their minds to.
