About Me	David Patterson retired after 40 years as an EECS professor at UC Berkeley before joining Google in 2016 as a Distinguished Engineer. He is probably best known for the book "Computer Architecture: A Quantitative Approach," now in its 7th edition, and for the Berkeley RISC (Reduced Instruction Set Computer) and RAID (Redundant Array of Inexpensive Disks).
