About Me	I farmed with my husband for three years raising fat cattle, and farrow to finish hogs, those were the happiest days of my life.We left farming during the farming crisis. My husband, Cpt. David Poduska, retired from the Iowa Army National Guard after 20 years of service.He also retired from John Deere as an electrical engineer. I am currently an Assistant Professor of Nursing at the Martin-Herold College of Nursing and Health at Mount Mercy University for over 20 years. My background is in critical care nursing-step down units. We live on a small acreage at rural Lowden. Our son showed 4-H breeding beef with the Lowden Lasers, played the trumpet, participated in trap shooting and wrestling when he attended Xavier High School in Cedar Rapids. Our son is c...(read more)
