About Me	After graduating in 1978, I joined the U.S. Marine Corps, reaching the rank of Sergeant. My last assignment was as a U.S. Embassy guard in Brussels Belgium. After I came back from over seas, I applied for and was accepted to the Wichita Police Academy in 1984. During this time I have worked in every Patrol Bureau and shift on the department. I was also a member of our SWAT Unit for 5.5 years, a Motorcycle Officer, and twice a member of our SCAT Teams, as an officer and later as a Sergeant, which is a supervisory rank.
