About Me	I married my Satellite High School sweetheart Nancy Aitken in 1981. We raised two outstanding sons. I enlisted in the Air Force in 1980 and our first assignment was Elmendorf AFB Alaska. Our next assignment was to Bolling AFB in Washington DC where I graduated from UMUC and was selected for Officer Training School. After OTS we went to Wright-Patterson AFB Dayton OH where I became a Captain before leaving Active Duty in 1992. Since the Air Force, I have worked at Harris Corp in Rockledge and Melbourne for nearly 18 years as a Systems Engineer and more recently as a Program Manager. My wife was a 1979 Graduate of SHS and now works as a teacher's assistance at Holland Elementary School. Our older son Rob Bird graduated from SHS in 2000 and UCF in 2003. Rob is now a Captain in the Air Force and is a Weapons Systems Operator in an F-15E Strike Eagle. He has completed three tours to Afghanistan. Rob married his Satellite High School sweetheart Melanie Olivarez, SHS Class of 1999. They have two daughters, Kiernan born in June 2005 and Kendall born in April 2010. Younger son Mike Bird graduated from SHS in 2002, UF in 2005 and then UF Law School in 2008.
