| About Me | I am Vietnamese. I am 24 years old. I am a hardworker when it comes to school, but this can get me in trouble sometimes because I often worry too much. Nevertheless, I often find time to enjoy my hobbies and other fun things I do in my free time despite the amount of hw I get for school. I am described by many to be quite a generous and helpful person when it comes to providing help on assignments and other things. I have often underestimated my capabilities and abilities, but that doesn't mean you should do the same to me, because I can make a hard comeback at the person who does doubt me. So yea, get to know me first before you judge me. Right now I have my sights set on a teaching career. Teaching is always in high demand, and I discovered while in high school that I love helping kids through the huge amount of time I spent tutoring. I'm not certain what level I want to teach yet, but I'll probably settle for either elementary or the secondary level. I will probably consider being a college professor as well, although I think this will probably be most unlikely, as it probably won't suit me too well. I am now officially an alumnus of UCLA. I graduated as a math for teaching major. I walked in June 2011, but I took summer school to finish up the rest of my requirements and finished everything in September 2011. I am currently all moved back home with my mom and dad. So far, it's been great not being in school, although I am getting bored of staying at home all the time. I will be back in school by January so that I can get on with my life and eventually start working as a math teacher in the future. No complaints, as I could definitely use the time off from school to reassess and straighten myself out before coming back to the school world. I mean, how often is it that I get a break from school? Not often! Oh and I also get to enjoy watching Glee on Tuesday nights. It's an awesome show! After a 4 month hiatus from school, I'm finally back in school again. I'm currently taking prereq courses for the Single Subject Credential program at Fullerton. If all goes well and if accepted, I will start the program in the fall. It is a one year program, which means I'll have my credential next year if I start this fall. Starting off w/ a 4.0 for my postgraduate career after receiving an A for my online course during the winter break. It has been confirmed. I officially start grad school at Cal State Fullerton in August 2012. I'll be working on a Master's in Math: Teaching Option. I'll come back and do a cr...(read more) |
