| About Me | Upon graduating from the UofA I became ensnared in the Viet Nam war and served my time there (70/71) as an army pilot. After that I decided to stick with the army and spent many wonderful years being stationed all over the U.S. and the world - including Germany and Izmir Turkey. During that time I had a son and a daughter, was divorced and picked up another two sons via a second marriage. I retired as a full colonel in 95 after my last job with the Defense Intelligence Agency and returned to Tucson - "The Promised Land." A few years after retiring I lost my wife, Joanie, to brain cancer. I then remarried in Jan 2001 to Sharon, who was a very successful writer with 36 books credited to her under her writing name of "De Vita." We spent 15 years together until she passed away after a short illness in May of 2015. I have since been blessed yet once again by marrying my sister's best friend, Melody (Haddix) Foster. I first met Melody when she and my sister came to visit me in Monterey after my return from Viet Nam. They were 15 at the time.
