Favorite School Memory	Leaving for college two weeks before I graduated from HS.
About Me	I married and Apache Indian at my university (EIU) upon graduation. We were both teachers. I became an art teacher (K-12). We moved to Arizona and had two sons and a daughter. Eventually, we moved onto the Navajo reservation, in Arizona, where I taught art and elementary grades four and six for six years at two government Indian boarding schools. Living among the Navajo was one of the most incredible experiences of my life. I taught for twenty-three years, my last ten years being in Phoenix, Arizona. I remarried after fifteen years of being alone in Las Vegas on Valentines in 1998 along with 2,500 other couples. My husband and I currently live at the Grand Canyon (within walking of the very edge). We have managed stores for our company both at Fishing Bridge (Yellowstone Nat Park) and here at the Grand Canyon for the past eight years. I was the "First Cook" at our store in Yellowstone with a staff of nine who fed over one hundred employees each day. Loved it. Today, I enjoy my backyard friends here at Grand Canyon who include one very big bull elk who likes to drink from the hummingbird feeder, deer, coyotes, rabbits, squirrels, chipmunks, rattle snakes and every kind of wild bird. They all visit my patio throughout the year. I enjoy taking photographs of the beautiful Grand Canyon and of the delicate blooming cactus that abound here in summer.
