Favorite School Memory	After flunking Miss Percy's Intermediate math class I took it in Summer School with "Ma" Hardy. On showing up for Miss Percy's Advanced Math class she looked at me and narrowed here eyes up and asked what I was doing there. I replied since I had passed the summer school session I intended to take her Advanced Math as I needed it to get into Engineering School. She then replied: "you're taking your life into your own hands with this class, Mister!". ... Never had a problem with her Advajnced Math and I think her challenge to me resulted in a lifelong lesson never to give up and go ahead and keep trying and you can be succesful, even at something you have failed at before. I'll bet in today's politically correct environment a challenge as above would be met with howls of protest and a possilbe lawsuit. Anyway- our toughest experiences can be the most memorable. Also cannot forget the Track Coaches telling us we could not smoke, yet their smoking up a storm in the Coaches room. Some example.
