| About Me | Michael and I met on a facebook group called LDS Singles 25+. It is a group that is designed for all single adults in our church from all across the world. He made a post. I saw it. I commented on it. I had only been on the group for about three days and was getting pretty fed up with the conduct of some of the members. I viewed his profile, thought he was cute and told him just that. I sent him a message literally saying, "hey...not to sound too forward, but how on earth are you still single?" He responded the morning of December 14, a Saturday, around 830am. For some strange reason, i was up at that time and we chatted. It was an instant connection. He said he would be at work all day and would message me back later that night when he got off. He did. I was at Audrey's house for a Christmas party when he did. We chatted, then texted and then he called me around 9 or so that night. We talked until around 2am. I drove home from Audrey's house and spent that amount of time in my car talking to him. We ended the conversation with me asking if he would call me tomorrow. He said yes. He texted me the moment he woke up. He called me. We both got ready at the same time for church. He wore a tie to match my dress. We each took pictures before church. I called him as soon as Relief Society was over. We talked on the phone for 13 hours straight that day. 13 hours. Time literally flew when i talked to him. He felt the same. (It still does.) The next day we talked for 8 hours straight. That's just straight talking. That's not including the numerous texts, facebook messages, facetime chatting and hours of phone conversation. The third day, we prayed. He told me he loved me. I believed him. The next day we fasted together. Our conversations included everything....EVERYTHING......but it was mostly about the Gospel. We prayed together every day. We both knew this was Heavenly Father's plan. We both knew we were one another's soul mate. We couldn't get enough of each other. Five weeks after our initial conversation, i packed up everything i owned, left everything i had and came to Sebring, Florida. I arrived at our house on January 20, 2014, after driving all night for 13 hours straight. He proposed to me three days later. We were married on January 29, 2014. When i was in Louisiana, everyday we would tell each other, "i don't understand how i could possibly love you any more than i do now." We still say that to each other everyday. He's m...(read more) |
