| About Me | So, Who Is This “Mesa ED Hernandez”? You Ask. I am a Charter Member of the Mesa Chapter of the Dirty Dozen MC, Arizona. I ran Prospect for the Dirty Dozen after selling The Driftwood Bar in Prescott Arizona. I had opened The Driftwood when I was 19 years old, (19 was the legal drinking age in Arizona at that time). A few Wild Fucking Weekends hosting the DIRTY DOZEN was all it took to get me out of the bar business and into the BIKERIN’ business. I earned my Patch in April of 1978 at the unheard of age of 22. I still consider myself active, and a lifetime member. I will die and have the Dirty Dozen Patch on my headstone just like all my Fallen Brothers and all my Brothers who are still with me! However, I (officially) retired in March of 1993 due to a decade of severe, illegal, and relentless federal law enforcement efforts targeted specifically against me, Defending (And Winning!) those cases cost me a couple of considerable fortunes. I was always the “Wild Card” that threatened the FBI, ATF, DEA, and local Gang Task Force’s half-assed investigation attempts of the Club. This was all due to the fact; one of my business ventures during those times, was rooted in radio communication and counter surveillance technology (Radio-Active Concepts Inc., Counter Spy Division). This meant that I routinely busted their “Cigarette Machine, Club House Bugs” and a cornucopia of other lame attempts at surveillance. They REALLY wanted me gone! They had made nearly zero progress with there efforts, other than wasting a butt load of cash, until they were finally lucky enough to turn one of my closest Brother, “Non-Stop”, who was also a Warlord, into a Rat! That is a story all by itself. Anyway, getting back on track, my main reason for retiring was that I strongly disagreed with The Club’s pending decision to “Patch Over” and become the Arizona Chapter of the Hell’s Angels MC. Don’t get me wrong, I mean absolutely no disrespect to the Angels; they are certainly a class act, and a lot of my Brothers did very well with their club. I was just a bit too much &ldq...(read more) |
