About Me	Augie went home with the Lord September 24, 2025. What an amazing life he lived. A man of many talents and an even bigger heart. He will be forever remembered. The family left New Jersey in 1953 for my younger sister's health. I followed a year later after graduating from PPBHS. The move to Tucson, AZ, was a major event in my life. It was the first time I had ever been West of the Delaware River. It meant changing college plans from Rutgers to the U of Arizona. I majored in electrical engineering, and played tuba in Jack Lee's band for 2 years. I graduated in 1959 and hired on in civilian status with the Army Electronic Proving Ground here in Arizona. My work had ties to the Signal Corps work at Ft. Monmouth, NJ. I visited Ft. Monmouth on several occasions on business, and then attended the Signal Officers Course at Ft. Monmouth from 1973-1974. I always managed to visit the shore on my visits, just to check on the surf. I'm now retired and have a small excavating business that keeps me busy. But from time to time I visit t...(read more)
