About Me	I have always admired the pictures that my great grandfather painted - regarding the history and the presidents of Argentina, such as Mitre, who was a personal friend of his. His son, my grandfather, also painted, but as a hobby, as did my mother. I was fortunate that my parents encouraged me in my desire to both paint and play the piano. After 4 years at Stanford, including 6 months in France and traveling in Europe, I knew that I wanted to be an artist. So, I have stuck with that for my entire career, even though it has been a difficult way to make a living. Now I show in small galleries and continue to search for larger representation. I consider myself blessed to be able to paint portraits that honor the people I meet, and to continue to paint subjects of all kinds. I am currently painting the presidents of these great United States. My inspiration has always been Norman Rockwell, and his works continue to influence my art to this day. I am happily married to a woman from South Carolina, with whom I share a love of art, cinema and books. My two sons are now 39 and 34, the youngest is currently in the Navy Reserves after having served 3 years. My oldest is happily married and raising a amazing son, soon to be 2 years old. Being a grandfather is an amazing experience, and I have to say that he is truly a miracle. I am so fortunate to be alive, having survived a fatal heart attack 15 years ago, and having undergone triple bypass surgery just 4 months ago. All of this has given me a new lease on life, and I am looking forward to painting for at least another 30 years. Thanks for reading...(read more)
