| About Me | I turned 60 this year! Do I look it? Yes! Do I feel it? Yes! Do I act like it? NO! I work part time as a home health care giver. I love my job and the clients I take care of. My spare time is spent with my grandkids, Cody, Alexis, Sierra, Alicia, Gracee and Abby. Then there's my 11 dogs.....yes I have 11 and they are the loves of my life. All but 3 are rescue dogs and 2 are fosters. My passion is to help shut down puppy mills and put an end to the senseless killing of dogs in shelters. I'm also a diehard Minnesota Vikings fan. There was a time we went to Training Camp and a game or 2 but with more grandkids and 11 dogs it's not easy to do! I have met some people on Facebook that I consider lifetime friends...almost like family and better than some of my family. When all calms down at night I like to cuddle with the furkids and watch Law and Order SUV, Criminal Minds, American Idol, The Voice and Without a Trace. Of course Sundays from August to January is football, football, football! I recently lost the man I fell in love with in 2009. Our relationship was difficult because we lived 65 miles apart and we each had family close so living together wasn't an option. I used to go stay with him for a weekend or an occasional snowed in week! He was a very intelligent man and a funny one. We had stayed in touch but not enough. I guess it's true, you don't realize what you have until it's gone. I have cried many tears over him and the regrets of not being a better friend and checking on him more often. He will always have a piece of my heart. I recently became a great grandma....that's an eye opener! Good god, I really AM old. I love my life right now. I'm blessed to have all my grandkids close to me, a job I love that doesn't require a 40 hour week and 11 4-legged fur balls to cuddle ...(read more) |
