About Me	Well, I'm still standin! In 2006, I was diagnosed with Stage 2A breast and lymphatic cancer. I underwent several surgeries, aggressive chemotherapy and radiation therapy and I'm apparently just okey-dokey now. I currently am the Executive Director of People to People, Rockland's largest food pantry providing food and other assistance to nearly 700 families each month. Prior to that I was with the United Way for a year and a half, after having served as the Director of Communications and Fund Development for the Girl Scouts for ten years where I reigned as the "Cookie Queen" (not kidding, that was a real title!). I started my work in the non-profit arena in 1982 at the March of Dimes National Office where I was the National Communications Manager. I traveled around the country with the foundation's National Poster Children. This included many visits to the Oval Office with various Presidents, way too many trips to Disneyland and Disney World and an awful lot of frequent flyer miles. Rockland ...(read more)
