Favorite School Memory Going to Florida with Cathy Yentes. Detasseling corn for my Dad's Seed Corn business - walking the corn fields on stilts with the guys, rather than the machines with the girls - playing games trying to trip each other as you normally had to have help to get back up! Also the water fights we had at breaks! Slumber parties at Penny Calloway's & her Mom's Congo cookie bars. I also have fond memories of my Guidance Counselor, Ida Van Camp, who helped me get through my unstable relationship with my Mother. I do not know where I would be today without her! She was my special angel. God bless her!!! I also have good memories of Lonnie Harts, my Industrial...(read more)
About Me I became a Certified Cattle Breeder, artificially inseminating our cattle herd to raise 4-H Club calves for show. I have managed 3 different Dental Offices in Huntington & Ft. Wayne over a 20 yr period. Upon moving to Warsaw, I recently managed a Veterinary Clinic for large & small animals for 3 Veterinarians for 2.5 yrs. in Milford, stepping in to help Dr. Schafer make something of his practice in order to sell & retire. When he sold his Practice, I went to work as a CPA Assistant for his Accountant in Syracuse, IN. My Husband & I became very active in ITRA (IN TRAIL RIDING ASSN.) with the maintenance of horse trails throughout all of the IN State Parks - riding with a chain saw crew on horseback cleaning up horse trails from fallen trees over the trails. My deceased Husband, Richard King & I traveled to horse shows & rides in IN & surrounding states hauling KERLIN horse & livestock trailers for exhibit & for sale. I have truly enjoyed my horses - they have brought me tremendous peace & happiness. I have also enjoyed traveling with my deceased husband, Richard King, all over the U.S., Canada, & Mexico for his business & also personal pleasure. I have remarried & am presently enjoying Semi-retirement, working for SMITH FURNITURE in Huntington, IN. I love helping...(read more)
