About Me	Autobiography of Russell Cecala Let me introduce myself. My name is Russell Cecala. I have been involved over 20 years in the noble field of Education. I began my career as an eighth grade Science and Reading teacher at Price Middle School in Atlanta. Next, I had the opportunity to teach and coach soccer in Henry County. During my tenure at Stockbridge Middle School, I was able to teach Science, Mathematics, Language Arts, Social Studies, Physical Education, and Foreign Languages to 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students. However, due to insufficient funding the school was never opened. Last year I served as Instructional Mathematics Coach at Elbert County Middle School. My function was to provide teachers with improved instructional techniques using the Learning Focused Schools model and develop resources for teachers and students. I developed a hyperlink library for students based on subject matter. The results were that Elbert County Middle School made AYP in mathematics. However, due to budget cuts, the position was eliminated. Currently, I am working as a full-time substitute teacher for the Knox County Schools (Knoxville, Tennessee). I am seeking an administration position where I can make a difference in student...(read more)
