| About Me | I firmly believe that any man's finest hour, the greatest fulfillment of all that he holds dear, is that moment when he has worked his heart out in a good cause and lies exhausted on the field of battle - victorious. Vince Lombardi FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE CONTACT: LUIS SOSA lgsosa@sbcglobal.net New Year, New Name for Oak Cliff Furniture Store: Festival Furniture is now CasaSelect DALLAS, TEXAS – DECEMBER 29, 2008 - The owners of Festival Furniture, one of Oak Cliff’s largest independent furniture retailers, announced today that the store will officially operate as CasaSelect Furniture, LLC, effective January 1, 2009. The name change is the result of a legal challenge to the store’s original name. “In August, we decided to move forward with a new store name and have never looked back. We are so excited with our new name since it better represents what we do; we offer our customers not only furniture, but appliances, TVs, electronics, mattresses and more. Everything you would select for your home,” said store owner Bob Elliott, who with his brother, Doug Elliott, opened the store in 2004. During its four years of operation, Festival Furniture has achieved excellent annual sales growth each year. The Elliott brothers, along with their wives Adriana and Abby, opened the store at 101 E. Jefferson Boulevard , after successful top management careers of more that 20 years at Welborne’s Furniture in Oak Cliff, which in 2004 was sold to a large corporate retailer. The two brothers decided to leave the new company to open their own furniture store on Jefferson Boulevard. Soon after, two managers, sales and warehouse staff followed the Elliotts to their new retail operation. Loyalty is one of the benchmarks of the Elliott brothers way of doing business and just like many of the employees that followed, many customers of the generation previously served also became customers at the new store. Without missing a beat, CasaSelect will continue the tradition of providing quality merchandise at affordable prices, professional customer service, instant credit, expert delivery and much more in a family setting. The “grand opening” theme for the name change campaign will focus on “new name … same furniture store” and will launch “CasaSelect’s First Big Sale” in January.
