| About Me | "School: I have some very fond memories of my high school days at North. I was probably considered one of the geeks on campus, a classification I will probably always have. I wish I would have chosen sports over ROTC perhaps my direction in life would be different. I actually excelled in sports in elementary school and played all sports. However, through parental pressures, ROTC won out. Although my experience in ROTC was very successful achieving a high ranking position during my Senior year, spending 4 years on the Drill Team and it's Captain my Senior year and 4 years on the Rifle team where I lettered, there will always be that question that was used during the movie with Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan "You've Got Mail," "If Only!" Of course I will always have that crush on Stormy, Rita, Becky, Nicki, Jacki, Shirley and Marilyn! But, so did every Male student at North. College: Phoenix College was my rebound after my first unsuccessful year attending Arizona State University. Unfortunately I was not ready mentally to attend ASU, so I was given a second chance to prove myself by attending Phoenix College. During my two years at Phoenix College I joined Gamma Rho Fraternity and had a wonderful experience. I also became very active in student government by representing the college as Associated Men's Student President and finally as Student Body President. These experiences still carry with me today. After graduating from Phoenix College I re-applied and was accepted back at Arizona State University (ASU). I repeated the classes that I previously scored poorly and graduated with a B average, much improved over my freshman year. While attending ASU I joined Delta Sigma Pi International Business Fraternity which made my final 2 years at ASU very pleasurable. Graduating from ASU in 1975 was a high point in my life as I could have easily quit school after my freshman year, but through my own perserverance I hung in there and graduated. Never quit, never give up, a quote I live by daily. Professionally: Worked in the banking industry 16 years as a Branch Manager & Regional Loan Center Manager. Then 20 years with Home Depot in a variety of positions including as Manager. Traveled the US completing surveys for an Architect friend with T-Mobile, FedEx & Harbour Freight. The past 6 years worked for Follett Company at Chandler Gilbert Community College Bookstore Pecos Campus & William's Campus as Store Manager then working part time when needed in my retirement days." Started a consulting business where I h...(read more) |
