About Me	At NevadaUnion, I could always be found at the Chess Club, or else in the library reading whatever I could find on linguistics. My father died 18 Mar 1973 (when I was 16 and a Junior.) So my mother moved us to Santa Cruz over the summer, which meant that my final year of high school was at Santa Cruz High School. Graduated from the Monterey Institute ('79) with a BA in Russian Language and Linguistics. Went back to college to study computer science. Got hired as a programmer before I could get a degree, and so never went back to academia. Progressed through the years from junior programmer to software engineer, then tech lead, then independent consultant, then Solution Architect, then Enterprise Architect and then finally Director of Engineering and Software. Worked for BankAmerica, JP Morgan, Fireman's Fund Insurance Co., AMD and AT&T Paradyne (Florida) (listing only the well-known names.)
