| About Me | Since my high school graduation, I've embarked on a diverse and fulfilling journey, both professionally and personally. One significant aspect of my life is my thriving online pet supply store, Furever Friend Pets, which I co-own with my wonderful wife, Heather Claflin. At Furever Friend Pets (FureverFriendPets.com), we're passionate about providing top-notch products for beloved furry companions, offering everything from dog and cat essentials to unique and stylish accessories. Our mission is to cater to the needs of pet lovers, ensuring that every pet receives the care and attention they deserve. Visit our website for a delightful shopping experience that celebrates the bond between pets and their owners. In addition to our pet-centric venture, I've built a robust career in the insurance industry. For nearly 18 years, I've been deeply involved as both an Independent Catastrophe and Day Claim Insurance Adjuster. My expertise has been utilized by reputable companies such as Eberl Claim Service, Worley Catastrophe, Wardlaw Claims Service, and Kile High Adjusters. Notably, I've also served as a staff Insurance Adjuster for esteemed names like State Farm, Country Financial, and Grinnell Mutual Reinsurance. My work as an independent adjuster involved hands-on fieldwork, where I conducted roof inspections and in-person assessments of damages caused by various natural disasters such as wind, hail, hurricanes, derechos, tornados, ice damming, and earthquakes. This journey has taken me to diverse locations, including states like Texas, Indiana, New York, Maryland, South Carolina, and North Carolina. During one particularly notable independent insurance adjusting assignment, my wife and I found ourselves in the Dallas, Texas area, where we lived for three years. This experience added a unique dimension to our journey, broadening our horizons and creating lasting memories. Eventually, we returned home to Illinois, navigating this transition during the challenging times of the pandemic. My career in insurance began shortly after high school graduation. I swiftly obtained both certification and licensing, laying the foundation for a successful and impactful career in the field. Over the years, I've honed my skills, contributing my expertise to a wide range of insurance-related challenges. On a personal note, I've been happily married to my high school sweetheart, Heather Claflin, since August 26th, 2011. We first started our journey together on August 26th, 2007, and our bond has only grown stronger since. Heather has been an integral part of my life, supporting me in all my endeavors and now standing by my side as we navigate the exciting world of Furever Friend Pets. As I reflect on the years since high school, it's clear that each experience has contributed to shaping the person I am today—someone deeply committed to their career, their family, and the well-being of cherished pets everywhere.
