About Me	My life has been about journeys. The first path was from my birth mother to my real mother, who loved me, and raised me, who taught me how to be the person that I am. My next journey, I have traveled with my husband, George, who has always been the love of my life. Without him, I couldn't go on. He is truly my soulmate, and the beat of my heart. The third journey was giving birth to two very special young men, my sons, Adam and William. They are a breathing, living extensions of myself, and the love that George and I share. The next journey was harder than the first ones. It was and is, a path of sickness and pain, quiet despair, and at times, it has been a raging grief, not unlike the grief we feel when someone we love dies. I have battled liver disease, something that I was born with, and with the love and care of my family, I have come through having a liver transplant. Now, the doctors tell me I have kidney failure. So begins yet another journey, and I am afraid. Afraid that I won't be here to see Austin grow into the beautiful man that I know he will be, afraid that I won't ever see Adam know the love of having his own child, or see that child's sweet smile, and desperately afraid that death will do what the hardships of living have never done, and that is seperate me and George, and that I wil...(read more)
