About Me	College B.S. plus some grad hrs; I taught CDC & resource classes at Carriger Center. At East High, & West High I taught resource and gifted students. I was very active in the teachers' union and held almost every office locally, was elected three times to a state office with TEA assisting 10 counties with their political actions, and represented TN at the NEA convention. I worked with many groups while at East. My favorite was the Scholars' Bowl Teams. I worked football games for both high schools & almost all sports at West. Every summer I worked in the JTPA program. After getting married in 2001 and moving to what I lovingly refer to as Mayberry, I went to Columbia Central High School to teach behavioral students. In a couple of months, I changed jobs so I could teach resource and gifted students. In fact, I wrote a curriculum for gifted students so they could receive credit for coming to gifted class every day for a semester. Since my husband was the Academic Team Coach there, I started a JV team to involve more students. After being bitten by brown recluse spiders twice-4 bites each time, I kept getting sicker and sicker spending many days and weeks in the hospital. I even had to take a semester off due to illnesses. I worked until I passed out in my classroom; in Oct 2005 I received a medical retirement. By this time I had been diagnosed with cancer, Lupus, Huntington's Disease, fibromyalgia, and a laundry list of other diseases. I am currently housebound all of the time and bed bound most of the time.
