| About Me | After getting my masters degree I pastored in Glendale, CA for 15 years. I then worked for an international relief and development organization in Washington D.C. as Director of Development Education. My job was to tell the stories to U.S. donors what the results were from their donations. That job included traveling to developing countries to see the projects first hand. My friends and family thought it was such a glamorous job but I had to keep reminding them that I wasn't traveling to resorts, it was to impoverished areas all around the world. In my spare time I created a video production company to help organizations tell their stories to their customers and communities across North America. I was asked to start a U.S. based development project for the agency. That brought me back to Glendale where I put together a Welfare-to-Work program in collaboration with LAUSD adult education to train people on office and computer skills who were on welfare. That project trained them in 13 weeks and got them jobs as part of the program. During that time my business partner, a nurse practitioner and makeup artist, and I started a cosmetics company that created makeup for film and television makeup artists. You've seen our products if you've watched any TV or seen some movies. When Botox was approved in 2002 the aesthetic medical sector emerged. My business partner began doing aesthetic medical treatments. We purchased a salon and spa in Palm Springs with a large customer base in order to open an aesthetic medical practice, Revive Wellness Center, where none existed.
