About Me	I collaborate with scholars and artists to create Vizi Courseware (http://www.vizicourseware.com). ViziTexts are the gateway to active learning. They lead all others in the use and application of multimodal and interactive rich media techniques, especially in developing flipped and teacher facilitated classrooms. ViziTexts invigorate the classroom, compel students to study, and encourage their academic success. ViziTexts are used in the same way traditional texts are used, except that they provide significantly richer study and learning experiences. Students study a Vizi, they “read” the media, modules are assigned, and assessments are undertaken. I created Vizi along with Jessica Seaton while Director of Ball State University’s Institute for Digital Education. Each ViziText combines hours of original interactive digital media with pertinent intellectual content specifically crafted by scholar-teachers to inform the student and to provide the experience of applying knowledge. ViziTexts are online, but not online courses. Instead they support the student teacher interaction. Each module is pedagogically determined to capture the “reader’s” attention and support active learning in either flipped, blended, on-line or traditional classrooms.
