| About Me | Hired as an assistant professor after the US Army service, Pursued a career in academia being promoted to associate professor, and professor. Served on the faculty at the University of South Carolina, University of Louisiana at Lafayette, University of Miami, Arizona State University, and Texas Tech University. Administratively served as department chair twice, associate department chair for research and graduate programs, and associate dean for research, director of an engineering inclusive learning community, and graduate software engineering program coordinator. Association for Computing Machinery doctoral forum award. Three years Air Force Studies Board. Software engineering research and teaching. One hundred thirty-six publications, advised eighty-five graduate students on dissertations, theses, and masters research projects, and externally funded research through industry, federal agencies, and states. Served twice as department chair, associate chair for research and graduate programs, and associate dean for research. Professional society leadership positions such as treasurer, elected vice-president for conferences and tutorials, and twice elected member of the board of governors and seventeen conferences as general / program (co-)chair.
