About Me	I paid my way through college, working a variety of different jobs, mostly retail. I somehow managed to balance work/school/life and - finally - graduated magna cum laude in 1998 and again in 2005 with a second BA. I met and married my best friend in 1995. After graduating with my BA in Art History, I worked as a Curatorial Assistant at Phoenix Art Museum. Being around all that creative energy made me realize that I missed writing, which I'd given up shortly after high school because I thought I wasn't talented enough. So I went back to ASU to earn a second BA in English. After graduating with my MFA in Creative Writing from Colorado State in 09, I now teach writing and literature there.
